Think I read in the URSC magazine it's a possibility but at present the funding hasn't been set aside for it... Or something. But it'd be handy for shorties like me who often can't see tries when they're scored!

It was not budgeted for in original submission so no big screen

That's a shame,we are going forward regarding the team and the ground, wanting to impress everyone in rugby terms and they have not put the finger on the pulse,we need a big screen. We need it now.

UR deem the money is better spent on player development - and I agree with them.TheElephantMan wrote:That's a shame,we are going forward regarding the team and the ground, wanting to impress everyone in rugby terms and they have not put the finger on the pulse,we need a big screen. We need it now.

Re: big screen tv
500k for two screens was bandied about at one point. Serious cash, but my beef with it was why was it not included when the cap was held out to the folks on the hill? The only answer I can come up with was that it didnt fit within the criteria of what was allowed to be funded by the handouts- eg they can build stands/seating/food&drink outlets/player facilities, but not shiney toys.
Maybe once we've paid of the old new stand loans it cna be budgeted for.

I don't think that sort of cash would buy 1 good screen never mind 2ColinM wrote:500k for two screens was bandied about at one point. Re: big screen tv
It wasn't seen as a priority and they were trying to make the grant(s) go as far as possible. If we had been given another £10 million for our 18,000 stadium as those poofball chaps, I'm sure we would have had a couple of screens. I think they will come, but the priority at the moment is paying off the IRFU loan for the corporate stand.

a 40inch Samsung for the 2BC would do the trick.
