Hopefully they were told to get back in their box, snide.

Typical Leinster. The chosen race. You only have to read a few pages of the Babbling Brook and the whiff of gobsghïte to see how arrogant these twats are.
Re: Leinster shithousery - Tom OToole
In possible retaliation to an out half signing.
You'd be pretty fecked off if you were Clarkson who is there or thereabouts to stepping up into the backup spot to Furlong.
With Nucifora gone and Humph in, we could see a little more of this attempted pushing of the boundaries by the provinces to see what is and what is not now okay.

Unbelievably smug the last 2-3 years. They have everything going for them as it is without poaching other provinces better players.

Re: Leinster shithousery - Tom OToole
This is a shocking paragraph from the report:
'The same report suggests that this comes despite a desire from Ulster to offload several players to offset financial difficulties. To be contending with losing a homegrown specialist player in a crucial position of tighthead is not exactly a reassuring indicator for the province.'
If we're in such a state that we want to offload the likes of O'Toole, '... ot exactly a reassuring indicator...' is a huge understatement. Is the report saying that the initiative actually came from Ulster, not Leinster? Surely not. Tell me it's not true.

It’s called Balls.ie for a reason.
If Ulster had wanted to offload him then they could have released him.

Re: Leinster shithousery - Tom OToole
I wouldn't begrudge him if he wanted to leave. Clearly he won't win anything at Ulster, so I can see him being ambitious enough to want to go to Leinster.
I haven't seen enough from him to suggest he'll be a top level TH but his inclusions in Irish squads means that I am probably not a great judge of quality THs . . .
But if he does leave, and Marty doesn't get back to his best, then we are really betting the mortgage on Wilson turning out to be great.

If he wanted to go, then what’s to stop Leinster matching his Ulster offer, or even offering a quid less, and signing him?

Re: Leinster shithousery - Tom OToole
If we have been put in the financial position of having to offload members of the senior playing squad or an inability to renew contracts / sign new players then we as fans deserve an explanation. If that explanation is because we failed to protect the pitch for the La Rochelle game and then spent an extraordinary amount on a plastic one to ensure that there are no similar fek-ups the CEO has to go ... that is gross negligence

Every time TOT comes on for Ireland I watch the first few scrums from behind the sofa, only to find that he rarely lets the side down. While for us he has had his behind handed to him on a number of occasions.

Never wrestle with a pig. You end up covered in muck and the pig loves it.
Re: Leinster shithousery - Tom OToole
I think it’s part coaching, part Stewart being a weak scrummaging hooker.
I read this differently than many of you, looks like Tom will be staying, Leinster tried to sign him, they can offer him a Contract but it can’t be higher than Ulsters offer, he turned down their offer to stay in Belfast.
Good.

I don't think Ulster are in as financial dire straights as is being reported. I have absolutely no evidence to back this up.

It's worse than dire.
