Mark Anscombe Interview questions

Post by girwin90 »

Hi everyone,

I have been granted an interview with Mark Anscombe, i'm not sure if this will interest any of you but if you wanted to ask any questions just post them below and i'll take a few of them as I have a few of my own so far.

Once he has completed them, i'll post the interview up here for you all to see.

Thanks

You do of course realise that you have opened a whole can of worms here.

There's a lot we'd like to know but - obvioulsy there's a lot he won't say or comment on, and obvoiulsy there would be a lot of barbed questions that would be aimed at him to hit those behind him, that are in reality beginning to get a tad tired and pathetic to be honest.

Before he's here for long enough to know what or how to say things - I'd like for him to explain what he sees as the Ulster Way, how he fits into it and what he brings to it.

I'm hoping that some of the questions will be good that I can use so you get your answers, obviously I won't be using any questions that have a hidden message or meaning. I thought this would be good, if anyone has questions that are sensible then post them obviously if some users post stupid questions then they won't be used. I'm doing this to get answers maybe that haven't been answered either for a reason or because they haven't been asked. I hope you all see I asked here because I would like your input and not some angry fans to give silly responses that are wasting my time and their own time.

I'd like to know if he's ever met Brian McLoughlin and how he feels about working with his predecessor as the academy coach.

Background: I'm genuinely interested, I think he'll be a good appointment and I trust DH and Logie. I'm not trying to snipe.

Has he had any conversations with either John Afoa or Jared Payne before he accepted the job? And how influential were these two in his decision to join Ulster?

Do you think Trevor Brennan's 5 year ban was a bit harsh?

I am actually a little disappointed this question didn't relate to cheerleaders...

Why Ulster?
What does he know about the history of Ulster rugby?
When was his first contact with Ulster Rugby?
How did he hear about the job?
Are his family coming over?
What does he think about the BOD spear tackle? (I've yet to hear a kiwi admit it was a spear. Make him squirm)
Joe Schmidt is a Leinster ballbag
