No one remarked on it, but we must have created a CL attendence record with yesterday's sell out of 12,300. Cardiff have apparently set a new record with today's remarkable 12,436. All great stuff for celtic rugby.
we've has 7,799 for Edinburgh, over 9,000 at each of Connacht and the ospreys and a sell-out 12,300 for Leinster - don't think anyone else is near those numbers this season.
Thanks jamesie. I made a return to the beer tent after the match but failed to find you, colin or the ladyboy supporters so decided to beat a hasty retreat instead.
According to the BBC we had 12500 at the game, everyone went through the turnstiles last night so an accurate number should be possible not one of these 2 estimates
“That made me feel very special and underlined to me that Ulster is more than a team, it is a community and a rugby family" Rory Best
They are not the only ones Aarons. Have you looked in any detail at page 11 of our own match programme v Leinster?
As you indicated in your initiating post on this thread, the game was a sell-out 12,300 and that is it. UR could not claim more as this is the maximum capacity of Ravenhill when we use only the 2 sides of the pitch.
Great to see it. The crowds supporting local Irish rugby. All this league now needs is a sponsor and we are off. There was one lined up in the summer but for the shennanigans in Wales.
12,300 for Ulster - Leinster
14,155 for Leinster - Munster
8,000 for Munster - Connacht
2,100 for Connacht - Ulster
Those are big attendences, just shows you can't beat a good local derby
(if the last two look a bit low, they actually aren't...the Munster attendence was their seasons best for the CL and the Connacht one is as near to the same as makes little difference)
i remain sceptical of the munster mob the self acclaimed 'best supporters in the world' should be drawing full houses whether its the heiny or celtic league
