He has form in this fixture.
My memory is it's not at all pro-Ireland.
What horrifies me is that he's still only 37. He could keep on doing this game for years.
I'm inclined to agree.
I don't think Ireland have beaten Wales with Barnes on the field, TJ or Ref???

Bobbo has a 70% tackle completion rate
That's tackles he has attempted

I know firmly where blame lies in Ireland conceding tries

Chaps, The much derided Mr Barnes reffed a certain grand slam match in 2009, at some place in Cardiff!

It's funny how short memories are

Ireland are just too dumb (particularly Bobbo) to play Barnes

Paddy Wallace recently claimed Barnes apologised for wrongly awarding THAT penalty and ruining his career. D4 meedya went full Ulster scapegoat despite winning.

I hope he hates the FIRFU as much as I do. Ireland don't win much when Barnsie is about, let's hope he screws them over on Friday night.

Paul O'Connell, who was and is a leader of men, slam dunked the RTE plonker who had a go at Paddy post match.

Aye but he didn't clip Tommy Bowe's ear when Tommy said "Paddy Bloody Wallace".

Incidentally Tommy Bowe has crept up on the rails in recent weeks and the ridicule he is attracting here is ill advised, still as good as any of the wingers selected, massively more nous than either starter, and anyone who watched the Glasgow game should have understood that he got more or less everything right. As for his alleged failed pace, the centre he tracked down to start the move for Ruan's wonder try with a fantastic tackle, was probably the fastest centre in the B. Isles, Mark Bennett, then he picked himself up and was the 3rd man there 80 metres upfield. I like Tommy & he's not bate yet.

Shane Horgan: Bowe is a nostalgia choice by Schmidt.

I love how Joe dismissed this as fake news

Apparently the meedya turning on Joe is because they dont have all the facts

Bowe is selected alongside Bobbo for the sole reason of contractual obligations and value for money

Time to remove Deloitte from the IRFU
