Now that I have seen it- Leamy nearly sold it, Lloyd should have had a red, some very poor referee calls, poor kicking by ROG but Munster won and I think they will beat Toulouse, especially as Toulouse are injury affected You have to credit their determination to win and their ability to get the result. That Howlett fella should keep at- some day he could be recognised as a potential international. :)

i think the prop should have been red carded, i don't think whatever leamy was doing merited that, and he landed 2 or 3 punches to the head. leamy should then have been yellowed for the stamp/attempted knee drop, it was absouletly shocking indiscipline from an international player - he should be fined by the club for that, just for the stupidity of it, and the fact that it could have cost them the game..

Anybody care to enlighten me on what the first Munster penalty (scored) was for? Owens seemed to signal diving, but I didn't have the commentary.

ERC report:
Munster have the consolation of a penalty in midfield for Hugh Vyvyan coming off his feet and O'Gara narrow the gap to three.

Initial reaction is: Off his feet- my asre! But I'll watch it again to make sure.

You'll see the subs from that anyways.
Something along the lines of;
Puc, Sheehan, Buckley, MOD, Ryan, O'Sullivan, Ronan, Axel, Stringer, Warrick, Horgan, Lewis, Murphy, Carney, Payne
That's not half bad you know. 8)

I am painfully aware of the depth of the squad- as the Ospreys found out too. :( :(

Not a great performance particularly our kicking from TOL and ROG was poor but we got away with the win in the end and we live to fight another day.They certainly won't get away with that against Toulouse but then again it will be a different type of game and you would expect both Munster and Toulouse to perform better than they did this weekend.Howlett yet again showed what a class act he is and it was good to see POC coming back to something like his old self again.Big worry was the amount of silly penalties we gave away.Quinlan excellent mainly and did score the try but did a few silly things which cost us points.Leamy is a headcase and an accident waiting to happen.I don't even think he can be reasoned with.He is either completely insane or just not very bright.

You could try telling him that, if he is not very bright he won't understand and if he is insane, well it was nice having you here for a while Shan :lol:

Seriously though it is only a matter of time before he gets a red card and you finish the game a man down.

I've rarely seen a player more on his feet (possibly his head may have touched the ground, but when you compare him to Wallace around whom he is trying to get the ball, he's positively upright). Latterly he gets knocked to the ground to the side and gets out of the way, but that is long after Owens has signalled the penalty.

Blatant example of a ref pre-deciding that a defending team cannot possibly win a tackle/ruck ball legally!
