All I can hear is Stevie Wonder ...
Always ask yourself, "What would Big Rodney do"... And every time the answer is... "Eat It"

That makes a lot of sense - and is good news in itself! We can start calling him Arnie ("I'll be back" - see what I did there!!??).Eggs wrote:It's now a done deal, going to Japan for 9 month contract, with the understanding that there is a contract for him here if he proves his fitness, and could in theory be back for end of season games next year. Signed and sealed.
As for Stevie doing a lap of the pitch - no way! He knows rugby is a team game and he would not want to take anything away from the team's glorious victory!
Hope is not a strategy.

If i was 1F, went to Japan and proved my fitness, I certainly wouldn't be going back into the Irfu scheme of things at the end of the contract unless they happened to be the highest bidder. The Irfu have to realise they can't have it both ways. Treating players like this who have put their bodies on the line for province and Ireland does not foster player loyalty IMO. Shame on the Irfu. Best of luck to 1F, i hope he looks after number 1, surprises most and lasts for another few years at the top of his game. I don't think i'll ever forget that run and bash from the 22 against Biarritz a few years ago at the Hill. Body parts went flying.

AFAIK nothing is settled yet. He needs to get fit before anyone gives him a contract. He may stay and he may go. All up in the air and there is bluff, counter bluff and pure speculation.Dave wrote:Any confirmation on this? I thought the dogs assured us he was for staying?
The guys on here focus on every word says and try to read between the lines. He's not going to give anything away in a TV interview either.
