Unless I'm blind as well as gullible this is the first mention of a 1 year contract
Don't care how good any player is, a one year contract licks balls, is not worth a damn and does sweet FA for building a team. In fact it sounds almost as crap as a 3 month mid season contract Ospreys type fiasco, no more than sticking plaster on our lack of a quality 9. What happens next -sign a close to pension age Peter Stringer in 2011? Hope for a miracle conversion of one of our other 9s? Light a candle & pray to our imaginary friend?
As one regular poster would say -
this is a disgrace! I'm now just hoping this is a large load of foul smelling bull.
I'm away out to the back garden to see if I can find those roars I released earlier & bung them back where they belong!

How long is Isaac going to Leinster for? Perhaps there is a plan unbeknownst to us all- once he pursues his RWC ambitions with Leinster for the season he'll come back here?!

A possible reason for 1 yr contracts being touted would be that Pienaar might need to play in the currie cup to go to the world cup, then, after the world cup Pienaar might sign an 'extension' if you like

I'm starting to beleive that we've got no-one - if nothing is confirmed this week I will by 90% sure nothings on the cards.
UR would be trying to confirm the scrum half ASAP to try and sell more season tickets

I had hoped that the end of the Super14 league phase that an announcement would be made. Anyone remaining in the S14 a candidate? Luke Burgess anyone?
Can't be anyone in the HC final, no way we can offer the money & highly unlikely that Byron Kelleher is fed up playing behind the best pack in Europe.
Dr Humphreys did say "if we end up with no one it is my fault." Preparing the ground perhaps?
