He'll have to bring in a new rule to ensure young James gets picked for Ulster as he isn't going to make it.

Sort of serious question. If we're outside the EU could Ulster be province of choice to host foreign talent?

To be pedantic we are from a legal stance, Ulsters company registration is held at Kingspan Stadium, Mount Merion Avenue. All employment law is UK based which is not part of the EU.

Zac Ward looks like he would be worth a contract considering his performances with the 7s

Definitely would seem worth exploring - a real stand out athlete & player in that 7s squad. But will Ulster have a look - not sure they would have previously but maybe under new regime?

Zach Ward is in with Ulster upon his return, likely to be offered a contract. Position wise likely to be in the backline.

Nonsense. He’s already had his chance and blew it, and wasn’t good enough for Worcester. Why would he then be good enough for us? All his 15s rugby has been in the back row too

In fairness he is a good player. Good luck to him.

Talent will only take you so far if the attitude isn’t there

A good player at 7s agreed but means nothing in 15 especially as a forward. Balacoune and Keenan (both back 3 players) are the only ones off the top of my head who have done it successfully for Ireland.

He’s a good AIL 1A/B player at best, is the best compliment I’d give him. Happy for him to prove us wrong, but can’t see Ulster picking him up again especially with a lot of younger back row players coming through

Non nonsense news Ward training with Ulster upon return

Players can get better and worse, Ulster generally take an early view and don’t like going back on that decision, don’t think they are in such a lofty position anymore.
Nobody on here nows what goes on really in Ulster. Opinions are like assholes - everyone has one, as famous TV cop once said.

What age was Chris Henry when he finally broke out of AIL into an Ulster regular?

Ward is plenty young enough - players develop at a different rate, he's well worth a shot.
