Latest on London Irish. Players called to a meeting at 8.30 this morning where they were told by club CEO + Howard Thomas of Redstrike Group (prospective buyers) that money had been transferred for wages, which would be paid later today.
Seriously, PRL is fecked and it's sad to see. PJ'll go back to France and name his price. Or maybe NZ?

Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

Re: Contract Situation
Is Warwick going to convert to THP then? Or where are we getting a 3rd from.
Re: Contract Situation
TBH I'm glad we're not renewing Milasinovich, but we are now very short at TH.
NUCIFORA IS A BELLEND
Re: Contract Situation
At a guess, Warwick will double job & dip into the academy.jean valjean wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 11:01 am Is Warwick going to convert to THP then? Or where are we getting a 3rd from.
Re: Contract Situation
There was an IQ tight head signed this time last year that fell through due to the player suffering a bad injury late in the season, hence the stopgap signing of JTA. It's possible that player could be contracted if he has made a full recovery. There was also a rumour about James French, ex Munster.

Re: Contract Situation
God that's grim. Would have thought we need one more senior prop at a minimum. Would even have kept milo.Neill_M wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 11:06 amAt a guess, Warwick will double job & dip into the academy.jean valjean wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 11:01 am Is Warwick going to convert to THP then? Re: Contract Situation
THP is particularly worrying given I don't think there's any guarantee Moore gets back to full fitness. If he does we might just about be able to cope, but if not we'd be starting the season with Warwick playing out of position and the academy. Someone mentioned elsewhere that Kieran Brookes is out of contract at the end of the season and would also be IQ following the rule changes. It'd be great if a rabbit like that could be pulled out of the hat, but it doesn't look likely. It's a lot of faith to put in Scott Wilson, does anyone have any insight to how ready he is?

Re: Contract Situation
'‘Big Jeff’ won the admiration from the Ulster faithful with his performances at loosehead' from the Ulster statement, did the proofreader get the sack at the same time as the groundstaff?

So Moore is going to Connacht on loan and not coming back v McDonald who is coming back to Ulster?Neill_M wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 10:30 am With a combined total of nearly 500 caps for the province, Ulster Rugby will recognise the 10 Senior Men’s players confirmed as leaving at the conclusion of the current season.

Re: Contract Situation
They (WE) need a replacement TIGHThead for JTA. Shame we could not keep him.
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!
