We lost our 2 first choice props when they smashed into each other after 6 seconds of the Toulouse game and then Wiese saw red so is also out. Tom Curry injured and Akker Van der Merwe back home in SAfrica. These are major weaknesses. 17 of the 23 are products of Sale academy. Ashman is hopeless at throwing in at the moment so Ulster may well profit in the lineout. Shame not to see Will Addison out there. Hope it’s a good match and that your recovery doesn’t start quite yet!
Good luck Sharkey but we owe you one. In days gone by we'd be confident of giving any team a shellacking at Ravenhill. This team, however, is as fragile as a daisy dipped in liquid nitrogen.

Enjoy your visit if you're over. A welcome to all except Saracens lol

Its hard to know under Dan McF.

I'm shocked he hasn't picked Greg Jones . . . . Jordi brought in from the cold after scratching his Brennan for most of the season also.

Very little in the way of consistency in selection as always.
His backrow selections have nearly always been over the place.

Ulster 5pt favourites with the bookies. Clearly the bookies think we've turned a corner?

Straight odds - Ulster 4/9, Draw 13/1, Sale 2/1 so yes bookies seem to fancy Ulster to win.

Welcome even to Fez-heads, I propose Mr Man from CI. :red:

Not that I expect any this weekend, but I have always found the travelling Sorries fans a decent, friendly lot. It's the ones who only go to their home matches and complain if they have to travel 5 minutes more than usual who are a miserable lot.

And because of that, we will never need to welcome them any more than they have welcomed us, sour bakes.

Indeed.

Had a few beers with a couple of decent lads at their game in Brive last season.

Sarries would be the nearest pro team to where we used to live but, invariably, people claiming to support them wouldn’t have the faintest idea about recent results, news etc.

The one thing guaranteed to get the crowd going is a massive sense of injustice - a red or yellow card against us, or a red or yellow cardc not given to opposition.

I'm clearly not keen on a red card either way, but sometimes it's one of our players harshly binned that does the trick, even if it means playing one down for 10 because as well as lifting the team, it puts pressure on the opposition and the ref.

It would be nice though if we simply got behind the team from the start.

Correct. When yiu have a chance to field a 16th man, it should be grabbed in both hands.

Crowds at ravers in recent years seem to be still in Covid mode when we were asked not to sing or shout.

Any truth in the rumour that Petrie has asked Sir Andy Murray to do the pre-match talk (by video at 4am or whatever if necessary) about playing to the very end - the very last minute, not the penultimate minute and the importance of it being us that scores the last point, not the opposition?
While Andy is still pretty handy with a tennis bat I'm not sure motivational speaking is his forte
Come back to us when you are sure . . .

Hopefully Warwicks noggin has recovered sufficiently from the assault by manu's chin. He might run into it again this weekend.

Now there's an interesting fact. How many of ours came through the Ulster Academy?

Point conceded Grumps. Twice I've saw us humped in London and their supporters alongside Ashton, were gentlemen of the wrist of the deepest stroke.Tw@ts to a man. Despite the fug of indignation at Paynes red, their travelling support were decent enough I suppose.

However, the whole franchise is the worst of what Pro rugby has become, down to that f#cking awful shyte Wolf Pack song they butchered at Twickers in the QF, for those of us still haunted by the memory of it all.

Interesting. I wouldn't have guessed that many. So, better than I thought.
If you've got a few more spare minutes, Shammy, what are the figures for the other three provinces?
