Interesting viewpoint, I think you might well be in a minority of 1. Hes well down the depth chart IMO.

If they’re looking for back 3/ OC cover. If you’re banging an Ulster drum Stockdale makes more sense. Lowry at a push, not sure he could defend at 13 against SA and the size of runner in that channel or possibly Hume but not sure he can cover wing and 15 at the international level. Marshall is second choice for Ulster but regardless he should be on the bench for Ireland? Don't get that logic. The guy hasn’t played a meaningful international in 6 years, probably wouldn't even be fair to ask him even if he was the best choice.

Delighted to see SMcC get his chance, think he could surprise a few people tomorrow. His ability to break the gain line and keep the ball live in the tackle really suit the style Farrell is looking to play. Hope he has a blinder and that the back row are live to the opportunity of running trailing lines off his shoulder

Luke is arguably playing better than any other outside centre in Ireland at the minute. Including O’Brien. To put a player who is inexperienced at 13 up against SA is asking to be torn apart.

You’re right that an injury to Ringpiece would not be ideal but there is sense in both getting a start into Hume tonight and seeing how the squad would cope in an emergency, as they’d have to in the WC.

SA have Kolbe as their back up 10.

Virgin Media Player is saying ‘This video is not available to watch in your region’ Anyone else seeing this??
You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.

The theory is the country lock will be dropped at 7pm for the game.

He might need to pole vault.
Not a euphemism.

I've just tried the Virgin Media Player, it plays an ad and then stops. The game doesn't kick off for another 40 minutes though. I'll keep it open and see what happens.

Channel 808? Nah it won't be blocked. If there's ever games on rte blocked they won't be blocked in the 800s.
