If you want to make an impact, cancel your Bank of Ireland account and email their CEO at francesca.mcdonagh@boi.com
It will go straight to her PA but if enough people do it the message will get through. Apparently she was personally involved in BOI putting pressure on to have them removed.
If you wanted to be really cheeky, you could crowdfund another ad in the tele telling everyone to cancel their accounts.
You could cancel your Belfast Telegraph subscription and the Irish News frankly. A wee letter along with the cancellation would make the point.
Someone with a bit of organisational wit could produce a template for letters/emails that people can use. Use the same tactics as the as the Feminists Front of Judea have just used over the past 3 weeks and put pressure on the money.
And finally, don't pay another penny at Ravenhill.
My Vodafone contract is up soon. I wont be extending it.

Simple - as said at the start - Go along as normal, stand outside the gates and don't go in.
After kickoff go to the pub, to Malone RFC or wherever you choose and have a drink with friends you would normally stand/sit with. You get out for a few hours with friends, watch it on TV if you give a fiddlers, you make a stand and your nearest & dearest just thinks you are going to the match and therefore doesn't ask you to cut the grass or go to Tesco

Re: Boycott the Glasgow game
This ramble may go different directions so may I apologise in advance but this site is getting hit for a reason...
1. If you haven't already visit Danielle Collins twitter and read what must be some of the most ill-informed and libellous comment on the case to surface anywhere. I hope that Paddy, his father the Courts and Dara all take action because if not then they are allowing a problem to develop.
2. As last weekend approached I noticed that the Feminist Network appeared to call less for their sacking and more for a cultural change with some re-education thrown in. They also it seems wanted to see a review process that was transparent something which most of us agree the IRFU don't do very well. That process as it transpires lacked any transparency however it is unlikely that the BFN will call for demands on that process to be made available to scrutiny.. for some they got their result.
3. What happened on the night in question will be debated for many months to come and it may be that.. for my part a consensual spit roast does not degrade woman because if she chooses to be at the centre of said act then that is her choice... What else happened on the night there was only one sober guest and she said she didn't witness a rape..
4. I hope that the URSC who until today I was unaware are putting it to the vote... the can only be one message and that message is NOT TO TURN UP.. anything else will send the message it will all blow over by season end. No one in the bar no one buying food and no one in the shop then some will start to stop and think.
After our beloved leader saying he is going nowhere and he is under no threat I appeal to all fans this man is deluded and the message ends sent to those around him because he ain't listening and hasn't for some time.
5. Do what you want to the BoI or who else but moving 7x ISA accounts from them to elsewhere is a waste of time.. We are not organised and unfortunately I fear that those of us here represent a minority of lunatics that UR will be happy to see the back of.. for every baggy, snipe or Kofi they will find a new Geoffrey and family tens times over.
If 12,000 to 14,000 do turn up at the weekend it will say that we are over the worse and anyhow they will come back next year with their tails between the legs... feck them.. If the terraces and seats are 12,000 short then a very different message will be sent and to be honest this goes beyond Paddy and Stuart now it is about the whole cabal at the centre of this and several other debacles.
My appeal PLEASE don't go if even for one match..

Re: Boycott the Glasgow game
Read Brian Cave's message on Facebook. I understand where he's coming from, I know the players are hurting but we need to take a stand. I obviously hope they beat Glasgow so we can have one more home game. But we need to make a stand against the sanctimonious prats who take us for granted.

Re: Boycott the Glasgow game
I'd happily go to Munster to support the team but not NOT Ravenhill and NOT this weekend. The only message is a huge drop but unfortunately I remain unconvinced that the supporters will stay away in big enough numbers... Fingers crossed and I won't hold it against baggy for going this once but do us a favour and don't spend and lets see you get dragged out on the BBC..

Re: Boycott the Glasgow game
good post, obviously the recent player messages (herring/cave) have to do their bit for the club as its their job. But this is all wrong!! Please, just as Cockers says, don't go for anymore matches this season. I'm not renewing as I don't want to support a club that gets crippled and kept down at every turn by the FIRFU. If we keep going it's just going to get worse and I don't want anymore if it. Don't go for the rest of this season.Cockatrice wrote:This ramble may go different directions so may I apologise in advance but this site is getting hit for a reason...

The Herring speech stunk of UR PR
Sounded like they were told to release this or be sanctioned themselves

That'd be great if nobody turned up but it ain't going to happen.twiglet wrote:It has to be a boycott.
A 1000 less on the gate won't be noticed and, even if it is, it looks more like apathy than anything else.
A full house chanting "We want Logan out" for 80 minutes would be much better, plus a pile of unwanted Ireland shirts outside the office door.
