Maybe one day he will inspire one of those youngsters to become the highest paid player in the ProWhatever and only have to phone it in every week.

Plus if they didn't do a lap for the kids then Logie would read the riot act.

Definitely the thumbs up. I'd have let him away with a comedy thumbs down and a big bottom lip Image

Does this type of thing happen regularly now in amateur rugby too? I'm ten years out of the game so I could be out of touch.

The obligatory post game beer is a great thing but this is not that. I didn't play at a high enough level to be genuinely upset after losing that often but there were a few occasions when it really stung. You needed to kick over a few tins of deep heat and have a soak before you could even face the other side. None of us like to lose. The above is not remotely the post match socialising that any of us will have likely engaged in. It smacks of a player who is very talented but not that bothered about losing. At least that is how it comes across.

Looks like a player getting in a picture for good friends and family.

As far as i am concerned there is nothing wrong with this at all. Just because you can raise a smile post game or whatever it doesn’t mean defeat doesn’t hurt.

Two days after a game and the Instagram story of one player was from Gymco today - my issue isn’t with the player being at a gym but rather why is there a need for a player to pursue extra training if Ulster training pushes them to the limits it needs to?

This follows a number of recent trips, by players who started the Cardiff game, to places such as New York and Jerusalem during down weeks at the start of March. I assume Edinburgh, who we play the weekend after this, will be training intensely for their game against Cardiff this weekend before Cockerill has them fired up for another game the following week. Players fully entitled to do what they like with their time off but having watched numerous players struggle towards the end of games is the intensity in training, whether in frequency of trainingg or the attitude in training itself, at the level it needs to be?

If not mistaken Cockerill was so drunk when Edinburgh lost to Glasgow at Xmas he had them in on Boxing Day (definitely one of the public holidays anyhow) and there is no doubt that they are a team in form. OF course players are free in their own time but we do appear to have dropped the intensity over the last 6N gap and were found wanting at Cardiff.. I have frequently and will continue to questions our world best S&C set up which has been with us for too long in my opinion.. Coaches have a shelf life and that includes S*C because as far as I see things do move forward and no matter what anyone says I still think we have too many players injured too often...

and was it not a member of our much praised S&C team that put Rory to a speed test immediately after his return from the Lions injuring him within 30 seconds of being back with us..

I find it astounding that people are attempting to decide from the photo whether or not he cares.
Newsflash he doesn't.
I don't need a photo to determine that, I just look at his performances and the fact he's chasing the dollar all over the world.
Good luck to him but if he expects any Fecks to be issued in return he's sadly mistaken.

I showed the pic to an Tongan friend of mine. He said that it is an islander thing to be respectful, especially to your own team and especially when they are paying you very good coin. He doesn't like the term 'islander thing', he believes it has been used to get away with murder. Other opinions are available of course. I haven't personally seen this before, but I'd imagine if it was cultural to take a pic and with the opposition (smiling with thumbs up) straight after a humiliating defeat we would likely have seen more of it.

I think the decision to post it on his public social media account is poor form. You can argue that a camera shoved into his face and a quick smile is a split second decision but to then post it, required more thought. Anyway, prepare the steak...

I'm guilty of this. It's amazing what you don't see when you simply don't want to see it...
