Drank a few Ballycastle Ales last night, but would need to try them some day I haven't been on the pi$h since lunchtime.
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

Picked up a 6 x 330ml pack of Belgian premium beers from Lidl for £9.99

Golden Draaak 10.5%
Golden Draak 9000 10.5%
Bornem Double 7.2%
Bornem Triple 9.0%
Piraat 10.5%
Piraat Triple 10.5%

Anybody familiar with them? Which should I drink first? >burp

Used to enjoy the Belgians but don't know those ones.

On Tyskie tonight, got into it recently. A nice change from cans of pishwater.

Don't know if it's been covered here before but what about the pash they serve up in the bars at Spanners? Heineken and Murphy's ffs!! Can Ulster not sign a deal with a brewer who makes decent beer - like Guinness/Smithwicks?

Too much, a brave few :stout: at Spanners, a wee soiree next door tonight & meeting two gents tomorrow, one from Seattle, one from Melbourne and there could be serious swallyin'.

Luckily I'm from a family of long livers & floatin' kidneys. >EW

Ahh Drink, that takes me back..... Those halcyon days before 'Mr' Cochrane at the Dundonald Cardiac unit tells me that two bottles of Jameson's every weekend and the odd wee bottle of midweek Shiraz, is considered by some as unnaceptable.

Now it's the odd Guinness, bottle or draught, never tinnies and a wee Sloe Gin the odd time. I'm dabbling in a wee experiment at present. I found a bottle and a half of Smirnoff lurking way back in our drinks cupboard and as a hater of this drink for women, I decided to spice it up a bit. I had left over Star Anise, my Kilner was brimming, so I put about six pieces into each bottle, along with a fair slug of Maple syrup. I'll leave it until Crimbo, which must be real soon, as the shops have their stock in now and if it's good, it'll be in the old flask at Spanners for 23rd Dec, if it's a minger, I'll talk it up and force in on all those unwanted visitors who aren't good enough for a Guinness or the Yellow Tail.

Tried the Golden Draak 9000. A quare drop, Burnt toffee apple overtones. Lovely.

Oktoberfest beers from Gap Wines :D

The new Guinness Rye Ale is a decent pint. Have it in the Big House.

I had Guinness Wheat Ale in The House bar last week. It was nice.

Was this the same just wrongly named?
