Baz, obviously Anscombe brought something to the table during his two years. However the amount of damage he did vastly outweigh the positives. For me, his greatest negative was his attitude towards the young lads in the squad and his bullying of some of them. Bullying is unforgivable.bazzaj wrote:No ot wasn't because we did not win and I am no fan of glorious failureNightsoil wrote:Clermont away doesn't count? Yet bar one away victory at Munster nothing has been comparable to some of performances particularly away from home where we were a joke previously to MA.
I think some may be guilty of a convenient form of amnesia when it comes to this.
Personally I would count that performance as good as any of the big away wins under either McGlocks or Anscombe.
My bad should have said results rather than performance
We did get a lbp so I will give you that.
Theres two then.
Any more?
If he had been a total lemon, he'd have been out before Christmas of his first season.bazzaj wrote:Happy to swallow that snipe but at least you acknowledge there were positives.
What improvememts on the pitch do people want/expect to see under kiss moving the politics to one side.
OK Russ, you are pushing this line and nobody has yet asked, "OK who is it then" so in a spirit of public service I will ask, OK who is it then?Russ wrote:So. Would we accept another kiwi when Les goes back to full time Ireland work in November?

If you are too shy to go public I shall accept your PM.
In fairness to Anscombe, he clearly had the ability to agree with Dr Humphreys, otherwise he would not have been there. A well learned skill I assume that may not have departed with ex-coach Anscombe.Snipe Watson wrote:If he had been a total lemon, he'd have been out before Christmas of his first season.bazzaj wrote:Happy to swallow that snipe but at least you acknowledge there were positives.

More like Manuel....Russ wrote:Like Jon Snow I know nothing
Its funny that back then he was seen as hard nosed uncompromising kiwi when we were winning and when it all goes bandy he is a bully.Snipe Watson wrote:If he had been a total lemon, he'd have been out before Christmas of his first season.bazzaj wrote:Happy to swallow that snipe but at least you acknowledge there were positives.

Why are you so sure Kiss will move Payne to 13 ?bazzaj wrote:Its funny that back then he was seen as hard nosed uncompromising kiwi when we were winning and when it all goes bandy he is a bully.Snipe Watson wrote:If he had been a total lemon, he'd have been out before Christmas of his first season.bazzaj wrote:Happy to swallow that snipe but at least you acknowledge there were positives.

I still think we are a side blessed with talent and Afoas departure gets rid of a disruptive element.
Kiss in charge will confirm Paynes shift to 13 and I would like the players empowered to express themselves which we saw signs of initally under Anscombe.
Looking forward to seeing the new signings in particular amd hopefully they will help offer a fresh approach.
