All I am saying is that virtually the same set up was in place players and staff wise before MA turned up.
Yet bar one away victory at Munster nothing has been comparable to some of performances particularly away from home where we were a joke previously to MA.
I think some may be guilty of a convenient form of amnesia when it comes to this.

Clermont away doesn't count? Going toe to toe with what was inarguably one of the best two sides in Europe at that time in a place where they were effectively invincible, only to come short by a small margin and an illegal try?

Personally I would count that performance as good as any of the big away wins under either McGlocks or Anscombe.

No ot wasn't because we did not win and I am no fan of glorious failure

Baz, obviously Anscombe brought something to the table during his two years. However the amount of damage he did vastly outweigh the positives. For me, his greatest negative was his attitude towards the young lads in the squad and his bullying of some of them. Bullying is unforgivable.

In fairness to Anscombe, he clearly had the ability to agree with Dr Humphreys, otherwise he would not have been there. A well learned skill I assume that may not have departed with ex-coach Anscombe.

I still think we are a side blessed with talent and Afoas departure gets rid of a disruptive element.

Kiss in charge will confirm Paynes shift to 13 and I would like the players empowered to express themselves which we saw signs of initally under Anscombe.
Looking forward to seeing the new signings in particular amd hopefully they will help offer a fresh approach.
