Post by bootlaced »

Must admit I would like to see more of the first teamers coming into this game.Injuries aside and those been rested;

Court and Afoa in the front row, plus Annett/Murphy

Tuohy and Muller

Williams / Wilson

Doyle / Henry

small P/Porter

Jackson and a cameo for Olding at 10

l Marshall/P Wallace

Farrell

Scholes,Allen Payne

Wallace not back until November or December so you can factor him out.

Yeah but you would like to think that the team would be a bit stronger,Throw in Fitz with Court, and start Luke, Olding should be at least on the bench, and Paddy J should be in the squad.Match fitness is important,so who do you think should be starting?

Olding will not be back until the Glasgow match according to MA.

I'd like to see a few more of the young guys given a go off the bench, especially O'Connor and Simpson at lock. Joyce in the back row would be another one.

15. Nelson
14. Trimble
13. Farrell
12. L Marshall
11. Scholes
10. Jackson
9. P Marshall
1. Court
2. Herring
3. Lutton
4. Muller
5. Simpson
6. Joyce
7. Henry
8. Wilson

Subs: Annett, Taylor, Macklin, O'Connor, Tuohy, McComish, Doyle, Williams, Porter, McKinney, Allen, Cochrane, Payne, McIlwaine, Andrew

Anyone know anything about Sean O'Connell or Neil Faloon? Both back rowers, listed in last year's academy, any chance they'll get a game?

I honestly think the bigger issue is should Olding be given a go at 10. Now for full disclosure I have never saw him play at 10. Also I seem to be one of the few that rates pj at 10. But olding can play 10. Ruan doesn't like playing 10. And olding really stood up and claimed an Ireland jersey for his efforts. And let's be honest McKinney had a fracking mare last night. Those who say he was accurate with the boot well sure he was ok but he couldn't catch a pass and couldn't get a line moving. Give Olding a chance. Might be the best gamble Mack takes

I'll keep you posted with what I hear, I would suspect a good crowd and a strong team in the final game before the start of our season against Worcester Warriors. I suspect some of those who didn't start at Jersey may start, so Russ' favourite Tom Croft might figure.

Is it on TV?
You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.

When will we hear a complaint that the Irish Lions were rested before the HEC by not playing preseason games and the showpony had to play in one?

In fairness, my actual favourite is Manu for punching Ashton
