Re: Munster v Ulster
Some lovely rugby from the Westies there - then a knock on - then a turn over .... sounds too familiar that

Dudley has laid down the law - no one on either side can tell me how bad I am.

All Dudley has to do to complete the transition is to say .... Ah right Ted, shall we say mass?

The wee touch judge is now going a y'will y'will y'will y'will at scrumtime.
How are Connacht not winning this?

Re: Munster v Ulster
Anyone else think that deliberately tackling a man within the 10 yards of a penalty almost in the 22 with a minute or so to go is worthy of a yellow? Cinical, calculated and blatant.

I would imagine all centrally contracted players will be managed over the next week or so.
Re: Munster v Ulster
Munster will have their internationals back next week I think, Ulster won't.

Re: Munster v Ulster
Just noticed that Llannelli play on boxing day so will have 3 days rest on us. All the more reason to rest everyone V Munster and bring home the bacon V Scarlets.
Basically, we have 11 games to go. I;d say we can comfortably lose 3 and probably lose 4 to take top spot.
Munster and leinster away are rest weeks. Focus on beating the 2 italians and 4 welsh teams at home. That leaves needing an away win or two from Embra, glasgee and connacht.

With an 8 day turnaround from this match, I was thinking we'd send down a strong(ish) team, but the focus has to be long term. A lot of the guys need rests ahead of a big January. We have to beat the Scarlets to maintain our healthy Pro12 lead and then 9 points is a minimum in the Heineken Cup games. Team-wise I'd like to see:
15. A D'Arcy, 14. C Cochrane, 13. M Allen, 12. P Wallace, 11. C Gilroy, 10. P Jackson, 9. P Marshall; 1. C Black, 2. N Brady (c), 3. A Macklin, 4. I Henderson, 5. N McComb, 6. R Diack, 7. M McComish, 8. N Williams.
16. R Herring, 17. R Lutton, 18. J Afoa (has to be there, nobody else), 19. A O'Connor, 20. A Birch, 21. M Heaney, 22. L Marshall, 23. P Nelson
That's a competitive(ish) side. Shouldn't give away a TBP, could get a LBP, could cause an upset...

You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

Re: Munster v Ulster
would definitely rest jackson.A young lad obviously lacking in confidence at times in the last couple of games.....the cauldron that is Thomond Park is not for a confidence lacking no 10. give him a wee break for a couple of games and he will come back again stronger.....his ability is there but needs a break at the moment.....

You are sending the only two fit locks we have down to Thomond? I wouldn't..............ruckover wrote:With an 8 day turnaround from this match, I was thinking we'd send down a strong(ish) team, but the focus has to be long term. I know, it was harsh, but cruel to be kind. I would hate to see you reduced to that ejit’s level of dreary humour.
