Anyone else going to twickers on their tod?
Unfortunately my usual rugby nut of a mate can't make this game and as I happen to be in England anyway (albeit in the north west..), I'm going to head down on my own-some...
Anyone else in a similar situation would fancy meeting up for a few pre-match bevvies? or should there be a UAFC meeting point ??

Climb up onto the top of your house and start screaming: 'stand up for the Ulstermen, stand.......'

Just me and the daughter travelling over. I'd quite like to be with the Ulster breathren before and after, especially if we win, so some vague idea of where everybody is likely to be would be welcome. Never been to Twickers before so happy to go with the flow.

Any time I've been to Twickenham before Richmond seemed to be the place to gather beforehand. From memory the Orange Tree was the pub.

I've been to Twickenham a couple of times and I've went to the Admiral Nelson which means getting of at Whitton which is the station after Twickenham.

I had resigned myself to not going but have reached the conclusion this morning that I can't miss it. Would be travelling down from Leeds. Either on my own for a few scoops or will drive down with my youngest son.
Even though he finds the concept of 15 a side Rugby a bit peculiar.

Coming down on my own from the Mighty Leeds myself (just decided to get the 8:40am train to have a couple of scoops, otherwise, I could've offered lifts).
I hate being in Yorkshire when the six Nations is on. After we finally started beating England regularly in the last few years, I've been able to lord it into work and say 'we kicked your a*ses at the weekend!', to which the reply would always be 'who did you beat? The Rhinos or the Bulls?
A couple of Watering hole destinations would be good to hear. I would presume, it's best to be in Richmond for grabbing food or is there anywhere decent nr Twickenham?

Twickenham and Richmond will both be jumping.
Orange Tree is a great pub alright but will be absolutely rammed - always is on matchdays. They usually have an outside area and beer kegs outside etc. Great atmosphere - you can walk from Richmond to the stadium in about 30 mins - take a few tinnies with you and dander up the main road.
There are beer tents at the stadium and I know of quite a few Ulsterfolk meeting there. Think one is a large Heineken one.
Go to any pub in Richmond or Twickenham and you won't go wrong. Sadly I won't be arriving til circa 4 so will be heading staright to stadium. wherever you end up have a good one.
Can't wait - am so excited - haven't posted on here in years and now I have done so twice today! SUFTU!!

wish I'd had a look at this earlier, we'll be heading down from York - seems to be a few Yorkshire based exiles here?
will be milling around Twickenham from 2, Orange Tree or the Heino tent sounds good!

I live near Twickenham and am going today. If you have time, find the car park behind M&S on the High St and get a burger from the farmers Market - they're delicious. Beers in any of the pubs you can get in as it will be heaving. The Eel Pie is slightly off the beaten track and therefore might be slightly quieter - until post about it.
Walking towards the ground from town/train station and there's the GarryOwen & The Cabbage Patch - both should be absolutley rammed and the atmosphere is great (providing you can put up with long queues for beer). There's a couple of offies and a couple of entrepreneurs selling burgers on the way to the ground. Make the most of the beer tents in the car parks as the queues and the prices in the ground are shocking. SUFTUM!
