RWC Final who u supporting
As neutrals who are we all supporting tomorrow. The below par moody French to keep it in the northern hemisphere or new zealand the most talented team with some of the best players to touch a rugby ball ever but could choke.
I'm siding with France just to keep it in the northern hemisphere sorry Richie mcc.

New Zealand. If Lievermont wins a world cup there is something wrong.

New Zealand . . . with all the talent they have its a bit of a travesty if a guy like McCaw cant get his hands on the big prize.
Also, I dont think any team who gets beaten twice in the pool stage deserves to win the WC, one of the reasons I think bonus points are silly!

NZ hands down for me. France don't really deserve to be in the final.

France, but I don't think they will do it.

Re: RWC Final who u supporting
In normal circumstances I would be 100% behind France and was thinking earlier, why I am almost hoping they get stuffed? Think it is simply that they have been pisspoor in the main and in a sense wouldn't be seen as real champions.
On the other hand, that is all horseshit and if they happen to put in a performance fair play to them. In most sporting endeavours the best two teams or players don't often make the final.
May just get my NH perspective sorted before kick off & go with brother frog. I've never been an AB fan, why start now - do have huge respect for McCaw, Thorn, Conrad Smith and several others. If Carter were there it wouldn't be at issue, if the French pack front up who knows.

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Allez les Bleus
It would have been a boring old World Cup without them. Just think of Tonga having beaten the Champions in the pool wondering what might have been. Has to be France - they did put England out

We dont need the English to win the European Cup

Some truth in that Dinger, but so what, if that was the only criteria they would have won almost every RWC, its not what you deserve that people remember, its what you have won.ding dong2u wrote:All Blacks have been the best team by a long way and deserve to win it
OK then - you are right Norm, Allez les Bleus

northern hemissphere my ass, I've no loyalty to the frenchies or the EU or any of that nonsence. In fact, as NZ is part of the commonwealth then that's the route we should be heading down .
For me, NZ have led the world for years in terms of playing exciting, entertaining and physical rugby. Whilst sides were playing aerial ping pong they well still going through the hands and keeping the game alive. In addition, guys like McCaw, Nono, Mealamu and Muliana have been a joy to watch over the years. McCaw in particualr deserves this more than anyone. he's been a legend to the game - all the more for staying in NZ and playing his rugby there rather than picking a fat pay cheque at Ulster....
In addition, fair play to the NZRU for keeping Henry on as coach. He was under immense pressure from the last RWC and the easy thing would have been to sack him. That said, he needs to win this one to prove the NZRU right... Henry has adapted the All Black style. They're a lot more ruthless these days. They play the basics very very well and cut out the fancy stuff for the big games.
That all said, I have a concern that France have one big game in the tank. NZ had theres V Oz and I can't see them playing that well today. France have been utter tripe but if they can't put a performance together today, when can they. If this was on a neutral ground then I'd be very worried about the frenchies. But with home advantage and the loss of Carter, the mining tragety and the earthquake to play for, I expect this NZ to throw the kitchen sink at France and win by 8-12 points (if france play well). If france concede early and throw up the head it could be a 20 point tanking.

Joubert has made the early decision that its time NZ are due a RWC. 1st penalty McCaw held the legs of te Frenchie and never let go, twice French players rising for the ball have been taken out & neither penalty given - farce unfolding.

very tight first half - very little in it. Big poo's goal kicking is killing NZ - it would be game over if he could kick. Crudden off, are the wheels coming off for NZ? I think they'll just about hold on...
