What is the worst team sport: AFL, NFL or NBA? Hmmm... probably NBA but the other two run it close.

If you want to watch large men wearing tights, I hear there is a club in London called Madame JoJos that caters for that sort of thing.

Because they are both sh!te.

NBA = 2 teams of giraffes taking it in turns to score with the only vaguely interesting part of the game being the last 20 seconds when you find out who scores last.

AFL = 2 Melbourne suburbs playing each other consisting of bogans wearing wifebeater tops and mullets kicking the ball in the hope that someone will catch it watched by a large crowd making no noise.

I'm with fuzzy on this. Though I would question whether having removed NBA and AFL, you could refer to what's left as a "list". Pedantic.

Point is, AFL and NBA can be pretty good to watch, in my humble opinion.

I know it is a matter of opinion & what you are brought up with but I have watched both live and thought they were both awful.

In particular, I worked in Melbourne for a few years and saw a large number of AFL games - it is impossible to avoid it there. I think the sport itself is just too random with the key aspect being a hoof downfield in the hope that someone will mark it (I hate aerial ping-pong in rugby for the same reason). A score from a mark is about as interesting as watching a penalty kick and you really don't get the sustained periods of precision and teamwork that is the hallmark of good rugby. Add to that, about half the teams are just suburbs of Melbourne and the sport lacks any real international dimension and the resulting different national styles of play which also mark true international sports like rugby and football. All in all, I think AFL just isn't any good.

With you all the way, I'd rather have my eyelids stitched closed than watch that lot, but for me add in NFL as well, turgid show business not sport. As for their ludicrous celebrations  ............. makes Peter Crouch look like a performance artist of the highest class.
