It is likely to continue as well untill we get the dead wood and the new talent in and experienced.

Agreed .... but while we may not be making the best of our resources we will never be a major rugby nation in the same mould as the All Blacks. Not until rugby becomes the major sport here. We are currently in transitional mode.

And even if Rugby became the dominant major sport we'd have some way to go......


We have to content ourselves with the fact that our form will vary as our squad's capability varies. We should expect to perennially be a top 8 nation in rugby terms but we will have to endure periods as 7th or 8th as well as the odd peak as high as 3rd - I can't really imagine us ever challenging for 1st or 2nd spots...
