Will anyone stick up for Comical Eddie?

Post by fermain »

We've seen his steady eddie choices for the first team this last coupla years; his predominance of choosing players from Munster & Leinster; his lack of tactical substitutions when they're needed most; his reliance on players he knows, not those in form; and the way the sounthern press manages to get behind him (prior to the Aussie match); but, and I stress but, he's given us victories over England the past 2 games, won us the championship in recent years, taken us to 5th best in the world, come close in the championship in three other years... Will anyone stick up for Rock Steady Eddie O'Sullivan, the current answer to irish Rugby dreams and aspirations????

NO
He did not build that team he inherited it, and it is now old and worn out and he does not like to replace players who are past their best. Shane Byrne being prime example, warms the pine while the 5th in line for English hookers job starts his club games, we must be the laughing stock of England

I agree with Rooster
We have underacheived given the players we've had and the troubles of other NH sides, and we're also scuppered for the next few years given the lack of planning for next RWc and beyond.
