I see Montpellier were beaten 10-12 by league leaders Stade Francais at the weekend and after 20 rounds, sit 13th in the table which is the relegation play-off position.

Clermont and Lyon are only 4 points clear of them. Clermont are a potential QF opponent, they face the Cheetahs on Saturday. Interesting to see how the French sides view Europe, an opportunity or a distraction.

More a general comment on the Challenge Cup, half the remaining sides are from the URC, could impact on the final position you need to qualify for Europe next season via the league, 8th may not get in.

Reinach and Carbonel played the full 80 for Montpellier at the weekend.

Paul Willemse also wasn’t replaced, although he did have a 10 minute break for his customary yellow card.

So with lowry and treadwell out this weekend does that settle a few Selection issues? For me, moore should come in at 15 with Addison dropping to the bench. If ewers is fit then Sheridan alongside hendo in the row with mcann and timoney at 7 & 8.
If ewers not fit, then do we start izzy and keep Sheridan at 6? Alternative is Rea starting again.
Who starts at 10? Doak deserves another shot if he is to be given a run with Billy or flannery on the bench.

Looks like Mr Whitehouse now has the whistle on Sunday, was originally Craig Evans.

Craig has a teeth whitening appointment he doesn’t want to miss.

He was doing the Leinster Bulls game last week and had to leave the field with Chris Busby taking over for the last couple of minutes from memory.

He should be more careful booking his dental appointments.

Yep, went over on his ankle after getting too close to the action.

Managed to let McGrath off with a slap on the wrist for a flying head butt and disallowed a try because R Byrne dived in the way of a KLA fly hack.

Hopefully we've seen the last of Burns.
