Apologies, I quickly updated at halftime so the point on Flannery may have been open to misinterpretation. He said that Burns would be leaving but it wasn’t for him to disclose the destination to which someone replied ‘we already know where he’s going to’ and there was no response which I took as confirmation he is going to Munster. Looking back at my wording the point on Flannery may have been open to misinterpretation but I felt JP was clear that him and Doak were two of the options to replace Burns rather than Flannery leaving alongside Burns.

I specifically asked on McCloskey with the context that the answers earlier in the week didn’t exactly provide assurances as presence here next season hence my quote of ‘look forward to’. I hope I wasn’t being unfair to JP in quoting that the way I did as I respected his approach throughout.

The point on VAT was specifically on tickets and wouldn’t be a subject I would have any expertise on. I would say the questions were respectful with a few robust questions on playing style, squad for next year and a gap in leadership at senior management level.

So apparently there will be new signings? Mr Kok may be in Ulster colours next season.

On VAT I would very much like to know what he’s talking about - apart from anything VAT is levied in Ireland as well. I’m not an expert on VAT in the south but struggle to see why Ulster should be at any meaningful disadvantage.
In the UK VAT will be due on the full selling price of tickets sold at the standard rate of 20%

In RoI:
ADMISSION OF SPECTATORS TO SPORTING EVENTS (Exempt by derogation in accordance with Art. 371)
Value-Added Tax Consolidation Act 2010 (VATCA 2010) Ref Schedule: 1 Paragraph: 14(4)

I could see the argument Petrie had if this was something new, however it appears to have been the way since 2010.

What makes absolutely no sense to me is if we see Doak's future at 10 why is he still playing games at 9 for Ulster?

Why would you post that when he’s just come on at 10?

Why did Burns start at 10 against the Dragons when he's leaving? If Flannery, Doak and Lowry are the options next season then surely one of them should have started this game? In the top 3 easiest games of the season.

Cos we had to get 5 points.

Next season will have to look after itself.

Do you think Sarries will be leaving out OF?

It's a fair point Bart, I think last night with Dan gone wasn't a gimme, we just wanted to ensure the win.

We've still a shot at top 4 and a home QF which is needed for the bank account.

Its a £2mil deficit at present. I don't hear much but that came from within.

How much do we lose when Kingspan go and we don't get a replacement?

Correct
Reidy last season was a good example of somebody that was leaving who should have been utilised at the business end of the season.
