If stu doesn't make the bench this weekend he will be in serious danger of missing out on the world Cup. When it comes to selecting the squad, versatility will come into it especially outside of the starting 15. With henshaw and aki both capable of playing 12 i reckon an O'brien type player will be seen as far more valuable than McCloskey. Ok course if either aki or henshaw get injured then stu is straight back in.

So stu can book his summer hols for August.

My bet would be Stu has a the after effects of a knock ie not 90% let alone 100 if fit he is a starter not a bench man being an inside centre specialist rather cover for 2 or more places in the back line -- a good stand by in my book for back row ball carrier but Ireland don't need that.

So the 3 proud provinces of Ireland take the field in a banana skin game --- if the English forwards turn up and Farrell kicks short down the tram line close to touch keeping Ireland in their own half.

I tried to warn folk what would happen to McCloskey. He's statistically the best in his position across all teams in this 6N. The brits get a lot of stick for having borrowed things for their museums. In their defence, the savages didn't have any museums of their own. The finders keepers rule was invoked. The Irish like to take what doesn't belong to them and stick a rugby top on them. Nobody says boo. I think a few will be supporting the Irish rugby side today without any knowledge of the sport but for a hatred of the English. Wait until these racists find out the Oirish have an Engerlish coach.

I would like to be the first to congratulate England on their magnificent coach winning a grand slam. Also, for Rugby league being the superior code.

Unsurprisingly, the countries with the biggest populations have less need to take players from elsewhere. Work it out on a per head-of-population basis, however, and Ireland's 10 to England's 5 doesn't look so bad

I knew the Scots pulled in a lot from overseas but that's an awful lot of foreign blood. Another indicator of Scottish rugby being in a pretty bad place. I seem to remember that they have a rugby scholarship scheme in some of their big schools for foreign lads. Anybody know if this is true and if it is producing any internationals?
