Re: Moore To Ulster
I was at Leinster Academy....their network was down.
A few of our Leinster exiles don't seem overly excited to be given the chance to play for Ulster, but I remain hopeful the iPods containing nothing but Van and Snow Patrol(the early years), coupled with a diet of Tayto Cheese'n'Onion, Champ and Macartney's sausages/black pudding, will have them getting their taps aff and pulling up stumps in no time at all.

I'm looking at it, that Jonno knows Moore from his Leinster days and believes he is an improvement on what he has to work with....

Are we having a sweep on how many minutes we'll get out of him?
Re: Moore To Ulster
Are we dumping Herbst?
Moore is a great player, much better than what we have.

It will be Rodney for the chop. Herbst is too injury prone to be relied upon. Moore, Herbst and Kane would be very good options at TH for us.thecrouch wrote:Are we dumping Herbst?

I have my own tv channel, what have you got?
Re: Moore To Ulster
Confirmed by UR. Very good signing considering propping has been a weakness for us.

Rory Best is a great player, Henderson is a great player. Marty Moore is not a great player. Overweight and struggles to catch a ball. Saying that, I've always thought he had plenty of potential and should never have been allowed to leave the remit of the IRFU. Still young at 26/27 and does have something to offer, so hopefully can raise his game.

Re: Moore To Ulster
for where we're at it's a good signing, happy to have him on board. Depending on injuries and form if he tears it up he might be a world cup bolter...(albeit at a fairly slow pace). stranger things have happened.
I wouldn't give up on Rodders just yet, and I can scarcely believe I just typed that. if he comes back from injury in the manner of his last few games I think there's something salvageable there.

He'll be the closest thing we've had to an international standard tighthead since the early Afoa days. Funny the things we get vaguely excited by now.
Anyway, happy to overlook the blue tint in his blood, he is IQ and not a plastic one, always thought it a bit strange he left the IRFU stabel, but he should at least be returning with his best years ahead of him unlike some others.

Just to add to the UR Mexican CV ... Isnt Shanananananananananananananananahan a Lienster reject? As is Cooney!
Always ask yourself, "What would Big Rodney do"... And every time the answer is... "Eat It"
