Apologies if mentioned elsewhere, but I couldn't be bothered looking, and this made me laugh.

I watched the video of this. He was petting it through the fence like you would a dog. He's lucky the lion gave him his hand back.

Because Weltevrede breeds and hand rears lions specifically for the purpose of charging wealthy kunts for the "pleasure" of shooting them dead with little or no risk to themselves- known as canned hunts.

That is dreadful. I hope none of our SA players would be involved in that.

Herbst is big into hunting and is an agent for Shaka Trophy Safaris. Want to shoot an elephant? He'll sort it. Check out their web page. Jesus is King but endangered species are fair game for a few rand and a bit of fun. Ar$ehole.

Maybe you can answer the question that has been bothering me since this story broke?

Will the lion make a full recovery after biting the osprey?

He's been sighted. He has a good chance of a trophy this year.

Just hunting, Bellers. It's an abomination. A safari is just another name for a journey. Nothing wrong with going on a trip around a beautiful part of the world.

Must admit that if and when I make it to S Africa, I would love to go on safari and do a bit of shooting

but only with a camera, of course.
