Wasn't there some talk about extending the vote in the future to all us 1.8m Irish citizens who live in the North? Is that going to happen or did I imagine that?

For what it's worth, I'd vote for the wee man.

Micky D is the only viable candidate out of the lot of them in for the job, hope that his supporters turn up and vote and it doesn't go like some other votes recently..

Tis a bit strange that Nordies can be elected President but ye can't vote on it. Even though I'd have concerns given the sort of folk you lot vote for in yer own elections I'd still be in favour of allowing ye to vote for yer President.

For the Presidential elections I'd favour all Irish ex-pats being able to vote. For general elections I would advise against allowing ex-pats having a vote.
