The way I see things.
The 4 home nations are as even as they have ever been in the pro era.
Ireland and England will be strong but I actually think Wales injuries has forced Gatland to clear the decks and bring in new blood which he should have done anyway but wouldn't do.
The Scarlets players, Navidi and Adams are on form
making wales a different proposition but if Gatland plays Warren ball it won't suit them.

Never thought I would say it but I think Scotland look the real deal.
Cotter put in the foundations that Townsend has built upon.
He has combined the traditional Scottish energy with intelligence, guile and player empowerment.
However if they have a reliance on the Laborious Laidlaw they will come unstuck.
Its been no coincidence that they have performed superbly in his absence.

As last championship proved if you take Italy out of it only England won away from home when they were lucky in Cardiff.
Performing away from home must be key such are the small margins.
Can't therefore see any one team winning a slam but think it may come down to bonus points.

France are going backwards due to their system but Italy can hopefully build on the improvement shown by their club sides.

Fancy us then England, Scots, Welsh, French then Italians but certainly wouldn't bet on it.

I reckon England to beat Ireland in Grand Slam decider. Then Wales, Scotland, France and Italy in descending order.

As for Week 1 - wins for Wales, Ireland and England. If the Welsh are smart they will target the scrum. The Scots are missing at least 2 LHs, 3 hookers and 3 THs! French ref as well Mr Gauzere.

Yerra players must have had a free day or something. Still it doesn't say much they'd want to spend free time in Belfast. What are they like. :D :D
Rory was in the public gallery in court today according to Radio Ulster tonight.
So were Hendy and Gilly.

Hope not. On St Paddy's day I'll be surrounded by Lionel wendyball fans who are all being rugger chaps for the day.

Let's be honest, an u14s winger could have ran in the scores he did

Good starting team and very strong bench. Delighted to see Josef go for James Ryan. Guy looks the business. Scary second row for the opposition. Back row perfect in the absence of SOB. Also delighted to see McGrath as reserve 9. Reward for excellent performance as it should be. Fergus the same. Unsung hero. Carbery may be the flaky one but he has the class.
