If that’s the case it should just convert to a straightforward 12 team home and away league with top 4 playoff.

I see Glasgow have signed a centre for next season - Sione Tuipulotu who is currently playing in Japan.
Born in Australia, can play for Scotland via a granny from Glasgow....the SRU really do their research

A quick calculation gives the four Irish teams 210 league points and the other eight with 165.
The four Irish teams are the only ones with positive points scored differences.
If I was Scottish, Welsh or Italian, I'd be more than a bit embarrassed.
Apart from Connaught, Irish teams have only lost to other Irish teams.
