Stick those up your holes, if you wish to address me formally, use David, otherwise it's Dave to my friends.

How hot is it the day Baggy?

I'm just back. Got up to about 36C which was more than enough for me.

Feckers Galway beat us in the semi final replay.

So it is Limerick v Galway in the final. Gwan Limerick. Last time Limerick won was 1973. Tis about time for them to win again.

Dubs too strong for Galway yesterday and get to another final.

Today we have Monaghan v Tyrone in the other semi at 3:30pm. If I was forced to give a prediction I'd go for Monaghan by about 2 or 3 points.

Some seriously hot days at the start of last week and the previous Merv. We normally get a breeze here but even 30 on the flat calm days is a bit oppressive, mid-30s and a good breeze, on the other hand, is lovely.

Poor enough game but Tyrone won't care as they just get it done by 1 point.

So they will have the honour of being beaten by Dublin in the final.

Limerick win the hurling final, beating Galway 3-16 (25) to 2-18 (24). Looked like they were heading for a comfortable win until a late Galway rally almost saw them catch them. Heart-stopping stuff. Limerick's first title since 1973.

Fantastic win for Limerick. It will be interesting to see how many don't show up for work tomorrow. :D

I watched the final in the company of Nial the former Fenian Peeler who was a county hurler for Fermanagh, and though we had a few beers in my judgement it was a hell of a game despite the catalogue of wides by both teams, I was afraid Limerick were going to blow it, but just about fell over the winning line.

After, we turned on Brighton v ManU, watched about 3 minutes and turned that shyte off, no sort of sport at all, feckers lying down with not a blow landed, gobshites. Imagine the blow the Galway keeper took happening top a wendyballist. They'd have the hoore buried before they realised he wasn't dead, just acting dead.
