Still no report of a citing for the GBH on Cooney?
Disgraceful.

Look a week before a ERC game you don’t complain and seek a citing for foul play in an Inter Pro game

Leinster are well aware of that
Within this carapace of skepticism there lives an optimist

There are never citings after interpro games, barring anything so obviously egregious that it couldn't possibly be ignored.

Everything is just swept under the carpet.

You will never hear it of again until an Ulster player does it with less force and gets a red. Meanwhile Cooney is out for the foreseeable.

I have become desensitised to Ulster doing an Ulster and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Usually teams learn from their mistakes, but how many times now have we mentally flopped when the going gets tough? I don't know how this can be fixed, it's like a deficiency embedded within the club itself. Maybe we need to call an exorcist or something, it's ridiculous at this stage.

This one was really tough to take. Quite how we lost against 14 men is beyond me. We didn't seem to be able to contain Jenkins and Porter and once Leinster figured that out they just kept coming up the middle right through us. The Ulster team seemed to put their tail between their legs after that score just before half time and we never got back into the game. Horrible to watch. BB had a poor game, the Leinster team were able to just ignore him safe in the knowledge he was just going to plant his feet and ship the ball onto poor McCloskey or some other poor sod.

An absolutely awful, morale sapping defeat. With the players we have, that shouldn't happen.

I thought Burns was decent enough in the first half, but faded. He was clearly carrying a knock and maybe it was just me imagining it, but thought that as the game progressed he got deeper and deeper receiving the ball. Between that and the loss of Cooney we seemed to lose our attacking shape in the second half.

Isn’t that what an “independent” citing official is for? To ultimately look after players well-being by citing dangerous play?

Yes, but it never happens.

Things like this make it very difficult to love the game any more.

Ulster will be bottling games like this until someone comes in and pushes Burns out of the side.
