All depends if the FIRFU are happy to have him hang around and block doak and Mcdonald. They wouldn't have a history there would they? Nothing should stop ulster developing the 5th and 6th in line players for ireland.

Been a rumour for a while. Makes sense for both and he'd probably be a cheap upgrade on Carter.
This would be a good bit of business. Roux same style of player as Carter, if he is still at level of performance as he was at Connacht he may be a slight upgrade.

Roux well known for his scrummaging. Ewers also apparently. See where this is going.....

Also means we still have an NIQ slot free :stir:
He’s not coming to Ulster.

Off topic question for you all, I'm having a bit of a disagreement with a Mexican colleague about John Cooney. He's claiming that John turned down a call up for the Italy game in last year's 6 nations and for the summer games. I've told him he talks an inordinate amount of the brown stuff.
SO, did John ever turn down a call from Schmidt or Farrell ?

No chance whatsoever.

Any Irish player refusing a call up would be unemployed pretty quickly.

Image what about a player who turned it down so he could watch NI in the Euros?

Is there any evidence of this occurring?

Was there not chat a while ago of someone turning down the opportunity to hold tackle bags? Maybe my memory fails me.

I wasn’t aware of this. Is that why he was ignored by Ireland for so long?
