Mrs justinr73 got a good selfie with four of the backs though.

They were just stretching their legs and behaving themselves, for the avoidance of any doubt.

'A team to put the fear in us " sums up my thoughts to be honest

But if your going to experiment Zebra are possibly the best opposition to look at an odd selection .

The thing about Moore is I consider him as an outside centre and possibly a better attacking player than Hume in that position the surprise is that Curtis is selected ahead of Postlethwaite who I think is a natural successor to McCloskey ( but he ( mr P ) did look as if he needed to fill out a bit and to work on his Physical presence if he wants to face french centres )
Within this carapace of skepticism there lives an optimist

Don't think it's what anyone on the outside would have picked, but haven't seen what's been going on in pre season. After initially looking like a talented prospect Curtis had some brutal luck with injuries. Maybe if he finally gets a few games together?

Not sure which Rea you're referring to but with respect to Marcus i retain hope. To my eyes, stamina has been his main problem and hopefully that will improve.

Would like to see more of Cruthers too, haven't made up my mind based on what I've seen, but he has some engine on him.
Fair enough MA, but it is nonsense if we want best available on the pitch to actually win. Curtis has never shown anything, but maybe he's a great trainer- with Greg out we need dressing room or training pitch leaders. :duck:

I meant Marcus has bulked up from what I've seen. Rea the lesser seems to being shoehorned into a "sh#tter Robbie Diack" roll...

Imagine having a loss of a mill but being denied players who have not played in a month. Dreadful business model.

3 lineouts to Zebre and Ulster concede two penalties and a try defending the maul, pretty brutal.

Imagine letting players give their bodies a break after what would in effect have been a 15(?) month season...

Ulster looking ok with the ball here, but absolutely woeful in defence, couple of bad missed tackles in the run up to Zebre's second try there.

That's the spirit, we're going to win the league and ERC, no doubt, world domination at last.

In fairness though, I think the player welfare stuff is one of the good things about the IRFU system, plenty of stuff to be critical about in the first 20 minutes from Ulster though. They just successfully defended a maul mind, fourth time is a charm.
