Especially when he is targeting a voting constituency whose first language is often not English
But he's standing in South Belfast, not West.

You can get odds of 9-2 on the DUP being the biggest party

But as i am an equal opportunities voter, this will notbe a factor in my sequencing decision.
Was she standing at an ironing board?
I have now been made aware of another one. Judging from her C.V. I would expect she is more than familiar with the intricacies of an ironing board.

Might have been with People Before Profit? The name looked possibly Ugandan? Anyone any more information? Maybe if we get more folk from different backgrounds into our politics, we'll get a bit more sense into the discussions!
Any other ethnic minority folk standing?
He's a Kenyan married to a Pole. They've got kids in a local primary school. He's standing as an Independent and his main aim seems to be to represent ethnic and other minorities..
Was it the same pole he nailed his election poster to? :duck:

So the ugliness has started - a picture of Doug Beattie with a noose drawn round his neck. At least reps from all the main parties have spoken publicly against this. Couldn't really do anything else, could they?

Well Jeff&Jim could have asked one of their stewards to remove the picture.

Oh no, wait! They could remove it themselves. Both of them together, because it might be a bit heavy. Lucky the bad boys who did it left it at a convienant height on a park bench. And maybe they could get someone to photograph them doing it, just in case there is any misunderstanding.
