Exactly, I have always thought the provinces should play a couple of friendlies with each other during this time to keep all freshLastKnightoftheproms wrote:Because we've gone into the middle of the AIs match undercooked in the past especially against the welsh teams who come in off the LV and we anticipate that Alan Solomans has spent the break working Edinburgh so that it won't be the usual "gunners" dross?Kofi Annan wrote:I wonder what the thinking is behind thatCap'n Grumpy wrote:BFN is playing for the Ravens this week - as are other first team regulars, according to Johann tonight.
While the Autumn Internationals have taken centre stage these past few weeks, the Connacht Eagles have been busy preparing for tomorrow’s trip to Belfast to face the Ulster Ravens at Deramore Park – home of the Belfast Harlequins – at 6pm.
Head Coach Nigel Carolan has named a strong matchday squad made up of Senior and Academy players.
Most notably, Galway-man Eoin Griffin makes a welcome return from injury and is paired in the centre with fellow returnee Dave McSharry.
Academy out half Jack Carty will once again captain the side and makes up the half back pairing with the experienced Frank Murphy.
Up front, Ronan Loughney is named at loosehead prop while Nathan White starts at tighthead. Aly Muldowney will play at blindside flanker – a position he covered two weeks ago against Glasgow Warriors – and is joined in the back row by Mata Fifita and recent Academy recruit Eoghan Masterson
