this is a non argument. a player not good enough to make it has moved on. big deal. for his sake, i hope he gets game time and develops, but i would be very surprised if ulster are left with egg on their face.

I hate to admit this but I agree with Mr Fatfingers as I never rated Mallon. Big stong player but was never going to set the Celtic League on fire never mind the world. I always felt he was just about OK but lacked the pace and acceleration in the centre to make him stand out and was a little bit too chunky. Shane Stewart is chunky and sports a beer gut but can break the tackles even if he cannot pass.
