Never mind SID on the pitch I am worried we are not bringing enough young SID through on this forum...... obviously ticket prices too much for those in the township.... and well done to Steve for saying since Logan brought them in for his world domination speech we have not moved forward... great start for us

Just curious since I'm way outta the reach of the dogs barking in the streets:

Why does the concensus seem to be that PJ and Olding will no longer be Ulster players regardless of the outcome of the case, of which I have absolutely no details other that what the charge is?

id imagine it's because the circumstances surrounding the events are not in keeping with the Ulster corporate image. Think the minister of defence resigning because he put his hand on a lady's knee. I'm not saying these dumdums are guilty of assault I'm saying the circumstances surrounding the case may not fit with Ulsters family image. Of course I could be wrong but I expect PJ and SO to be rather red faced when the media get hold of whatever the court allows them to print.
I quite like our 9 and 10 pairing atm it's our pack and our inability to hold on to a ball that I dislike. In fact I'm really disappointed with Jonno's work so far, I assume it's what he has to work with rather than his ability to coach that's the problem.

Indeed Joe. Oir pack looks very lightweight. Matty Rea was pretty kich anonymous today and indeed I had forgotten he was actually even playing during the first half. Now if he is one of our brightest backrow talents it says to me that maybe we just don't have players of the standard of Conan, Ruddock, Leavy, VdFlier etc coming through, rather than blaming selection policies and not giving young guys experience.

You watch him go...before long he'll get the howlaffit and bust it up the middle with bodies bouncing aff him like pornhub's finest.
Naturally he'll be suitably covered by the aforementioned sheet and he'll keep one foot on the floor at all times.

Its the lack of physical conditioning for pro rugby that stands out for me. Even Treadwell and Rea arent particularly or comparatively bulked up or well defined in terms of muscle tone etc..
We've had plenty of forwards recently go through the Irish 20's etc but don't seem to become the finished article. That includes front rowers, locks and back row. It cant all be down to lack of talent. We are not getting the strike rate % versus the numbers.
Even the Zebre cubs a few weeks ago were more powerful. Ours seem to lose 2-3 years backwards in the physicality stakes, which is important these days. Compare to eg John Ryan at Mexico and Jack ODonaghue at Munter who are massive physical specimens at 20-21 and ready to go. Is there a strength and conditioning issue too?

Btw if you don't learn and improve at least 10-20% under Jonno you shouldn't be playing rugby... Try looking at defence coaching and selection consistency ( bar injuries)

Is their a prize for posting three in a row?
Treadwell is a big lad, but he regularly gets knocked backwards. For my money he's one of our better ones, which is worrying. Another 5KGs on that frame might turn him into a weapon.

Our lots conditioning is all scientifically worked out, with every aspect of dietary requirements, rest and recuperation, optimum weight etc all scrutinised by experts so each player achieves their full potential and maintains peak fitness throughout the season.
That's why we have a fully fit and functioning squad of rugby playing Gods who are available for selection 80% of the season, with a pack full of Chuck Norris killers.

Nicely put Ger. I suspect many or a few are taking the FOLK approach, trying to sound like they know what they’re saying whilst being half-assed or at best sketchy about the actual processes.

I have note a single lulu about how we attempt to develop kids and for that reason....I’m out.
