And a fair wind to Micky D, the most famous Leprechaun of them all, there must be some pot of gold in the Aras or maybe he likes to be handy for the azoo up in the parc.

For what it's worth, I'd vote for the wee man.

Micky D is the only viable candidate out of the lot of them in for the job, hope that his supporters turn up and vote and it doesn't go like some other votes recently..Shan wrote:Next Friday is polling day and it looks like Michael D will easily be re-elected. The rest of the candidates are pretty much a load of old balls anyway.
On the same day we get the chance to rid ourselves of the utter nonsense which is the blasphemy law. Such a law has no place in any republic. I'm fairly certain it will be killed now which makes me happy. A blasphemy law is almost as stupid as a state religion or a monarchy.

Tis a bit strange that Nordies can be elected President but ye can't vote on it. Even though I'd have concerns given the sort of folk you lot vote for in yer own elections I'd still be in favour of allowing ye to vote for yer President.big mervyn wrote:Wasn't there some talk about extending the vote in the future to all us 1.8m Irish citizens who live in the North? For the Presidential elections I'd favour all Irish ex-pats being able to vote. For general elections I would advise against allowing ex-pats having a vote.BaggyTrousers wrote:Most kind old boy, could Nordie ex-pats vote?
