From Irish Examiner.

"The Pitch estimates that Leinster is operating within a breakeven financial year and is enjoying ticketing revenue of up to €10m, with overall revenues – including sponsorship fees – set to surge past €20m for the season.

Profits go back into operational and other costs, and into the ongoing development of the the game, particularly into grassroots, where this year 84,000 children had a rugby ball put in their hands for the first time by the club’s team of officers, across the province."

It is frightening how far we are behind Leinster. That figure of 84,000 children is phenomenal.

Light years ahead. UR asleep at the wheel and have been for decades. Nobody with the gumption, drive or balls to get stuck into this. Surely with Ireland doing so well rugby should be ripe for attracting new people to it!!
