Steve Harley popped his clogs now. I quite enjoyed his work way back in the day.
I expect when our turn comes to shuffle off this mortal coil, there'll be an invitation to come up and see him , make him smile.

Rose Dugdale
Bit of a coincidence seeing as only yesterday we were discussing that other British establishment Ra member, Sir Roger Casement.

Brewed for Rob: Burrow’s Blonde
Burrow’s Blonde: a deliciously light and zesty blonde ale brewed to celebrate Rugby League champion and Yorkshire hero, Rob Burrow MBE.
Rob was an inspiration to many of us here at Black Sheep, during his legendary playing career at Leeds Rhinos, and through his remarkable charitable endeavours after retirement, raising millions for his charity while opening the eyes of the world to the devastating consequences of Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Black Sheep Brewery have partnered with The Good Racing Co, a fundraising business that works to raise funds for good causes through horse racing. They began fundraising for the MND community with a charity racehorse named after Rob: Burrow Seven. Since then, they have launched the Rob Burrow Racing Club and raised nearly £180,000 for MND charities so far.
To amplify this good work and support Rob’s family directly, we’ve named and designed our new blonde beer in his honour. On top of that, 10p from every pint or bottle of Burrow’s Blonde Beer sold goes to the Rob Burrow 7 Discretionary Trust and the Rob Burrow Racing Club.
A great reason to drink a few bottles. Brewed by the Black Sheep Brewery

AKA the very funny Bob Newhart
Anyone know the telephone number for heaven? I'd like to listen in to one or two of his phonecalls just one more time ...

Genius. When I was a boy there used to be a regular weekend morning radio show that played Newhart sketches and others. BBC radio but I can't recall the presentersolidarity wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 7:47 pmNot Newhart but brillant all the same: https://www.google.com/search?q=dentist ... I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do.
And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'. Bob Newhart (stolen by Jimmy Carr amongst others)
