Re: Belfast restaurants
Value for moneywise Amici on the Lisburn Road is worth a visit -- only problem is parking and the selection may be somewhat limited for some people .
but what they provide is worth the cash.

Within this carapace of skepticism there lives an optimist

Was in Bunsen today for the first time. Fantastic double cheeseburger. Possibly the best I have ever had.

I had a 59p hotdog in Ikea. Possibly the worst I ever had.damianmcr wrote:Was in Bunsen today for the first time. Fantastic double cheeseburger. Possibly the best I have ever had.

Aye but you cant beat 59p.
Re: Belfast restaurants
I must give Bunsen a go.
I’d never been to an Ikea until I went to the Belfast one on Saturday. Had the meatballs with mash. Took me until the second half of the rugby to get over them.
Went to Mumbai 27 in the evening. Very average curry but it was rammed in there. Strangely drinkable cheap Aussie red on the menu. Jammy. Left the meatballs behind. They need to fix the lock on trap 1 (of 1).
Ended up in the Harp Bar. Had a quick chat with a very personable member of the Ulster squad.

Try Indie Spice on the Stranmillis Road Justin

I’ve been to Yum before a match. Wasn’t bad at all.
Going to Ora this Saturday night on our first trip over since the home QF.
Looks like we’re moving to Belfast next year and the wife is going to let me sit on my hole for a while as a reward.

Re: Belfast restaurants
Ora was good. Not a big fan of 'small plates' but you could make it work as more traditional courses.
A couple of teething issues to sort out perhaps (not least the kale that got lodged between two of my molars overnight).
I then popped down the street to the karaoke at Robinson's to wow the crowd with an (almost) note perfect rendition of The Sun Always Shines on TV.

Good value fixed price Sunday lunch at Holohans Pantry.
Particularly tasty black pudding.
Not sure about the Shed Bistro on Saturday night. Tables very close together but the service was fine. Quite enjoyed my grub, especially the monkfish dish, but the wife’s cheese soufflé starter was poor.

I like my yolks to be firmer than that.
