Davies is the kind of guy opposition fans hate but his own fans love, he always brings lots of niggle, annoys and frustrates oppositions players.

He has been consistently overlooked by the national team for selection up until recently. If I remember correctly he was man of the match in both of Wales tests against Argentina during the summer. The retirement of Warburton may aid him for higher honours.

Made a crucial penalty turnover against Leinster last night about ten metres from under his own posts when Leinster were really turning the screw at the end.

His size may be his limitation.

I think his size is his strength. He is very hard to shift from the ball.

Davis has a great technique which his size exploits similar to pocock. He gets so low it is impossible to get down to the same level and drive him up and off. Hard to say he is always supporting his weight but it often paints the picture to a ref that the attacker is holding on.

Yes, possibly agree if you are looking solely at turnovers but there are plenty of guys that are both hard to shift off the ball and can bring a big carrying presence. I don't think he brings enough going forward.

He was never going to dispose Warburton at international level who brought to the table what Davies already had from a turnover point of view and also contributed massively carrying.

Appreciate a little unfair comparing to a British and Irish Lions captain.
