Entire season or until end of RWC like Rory?

I hope Rory doesn't retire after the RWC by the way, I reckon he has a good 5 years in him >EW , if he wants to play on. Who knows, if Ulster happened to make a decent appointment or two he might feel like contributing to a recovery of sorts in white.

He is physically phenomenal, his recovery from injuries has always marked him out as a unique specimen.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Nothing to stop Ulster offering Rory a contract extension to the end of the season then as IRFU will have him out of contract after RWC, probably a wait and see how he is going and how he feels.

Rory may have indicated his intention to step down from international rugby after the RWC?
Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

I believe that to be the case

It makes all kinds of sense.
He'll finish at least that season with Ulster. Then scrum coach.
