Anyway. Back on topic-ish. I see Luke M is playing for Ballymena tomorrow so Cave's tenure may be ending soon.

Never wrestle with a pig. You end up covered in muck and the pig loves it.

Doubtless, if I'm wrong, there will be plenty who will say so given Clarkie's ............ how shall I phrase this? Lack of popularity I suppose is as good as any.
Well you are doubtless better informed than I Baggy I was largely reflecting on the lack of forwards that have come through under his tenure in the academy and as forwards coach. I was also informed by a story you yourself posted on this very forum of how Clarke had dismissed Barakat's analysis of a game where the line out had malfunctioned, inspite of which the ball being won, Clarke wasn't interested. Your opinion at the time was that his technical standards of coaching was poor and that was being passed on to the forwards under him.

Re: FOLK
All true my friend but whilst I was glad to be rid of him I can’t turn a blind eye to what he did well and that is building the academy from a shambles to something approximating to a decent working model. Of course, that still requires the right people in place to make something of the available talent.Silverstu wrote:BaggyTrousers wrote:Silverback, I'd say there are several better placed than me to put you right, but I know a man who knows and he would tell you that the start of the academy improving was under Allen Clarke who I believe put the current structures in place.Silverstu wrote:I'd say were we are now is a large part due to the aftermath of that bloke- an academy that didn't produce [especially forwards] , forwards that didn't develop, a soft pack and the legacy of a toxic coaching ticket.Kofi Annan wrote:Allen Clarke , new interim head coach of Ospreys, forward thinking there.

I may be a tad over sensitive, but I’m starting to think our forum isn’t all that important to themuz hold the reins.
I really don’t know how bad things have to be, before FOLK FOLKS OFF. If he survived last week, he could probably now shyte on Logie’s Cocobolo desk, wipe his ar$e with an Ulster Fleg and still survive.
