Joe has saved Les. Losing Cooney at this stage would be catastrophic. We should be able to see off Edinburgh now.

Ringrose given an Audi TT to compensate missing out on the initial squad announcement. No doubt he will be in the squad when the injury clears up.

No Cooney is a pleasant surprise for us the only other is Farrell ahead of McCloskey now ?

The only ones who perceive that are Ulsterfans though and they are notoriously myopic. :D

A bit siurprised too Rooster that Cooney & McCloskey missed out whilst sorry for the two players I am delighted from an Ulster viewpoint
Surprised at the inclusion of Mc Fadden if Joe is building for Japan.

He was ahead of him the minute he put on a green jersey. Joe doesn't rate McCloskey. I agree with him. I have yet to issue a final verdict on Farrell. I think Joe sees him as solid. He probably is.

He is getting his place in possibly the best club team in Europe. That and his experience are in his favour. Another solid option that Joe likes.

McCloskey's offload into touch was a redflag for Joe. Against Leinster McCloskey had another right in front of Joe. Heck of a player for us last week though.
