So say the 'noise' gets too loud .... and he goes ....

Post by Cornerfleg »

Who do we want to take over? What sort of appointment would/could make a difference?

I'm now all for Kiss heading off somewhere else ... but what must be scaring the bajeeeez out of any decent fan is ... NOT ANOTHER WORLD SEARCH AROUND LISBURN FOR YET ANOTHER STOPGAP MUPPET OUT OF HIS DEPTH.

Is Jonno good enough to get the main job - do we need a DOR? If so who? Would he be a coach or a PR stooge.

What exactly do we want to replace Muppet 1 with?

A clear hierarchy with clear responsibilities would be a start.

What does Bryn do?
What does Kiss do?
What does Gibbes do?

Seems to me there is a helluva lot of overlap and fudgery.

The whole thing needs a clear out, but first step to that would be clearly defined roles so the underperformers can clearly be identified and removed.

Jonno as top dog with someone with someone with experience to help guide the ship. A bit like Lancaster and Cullen.

EOS?

Oh and a defence coach.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

EOS seems a bit like marmite ... (or quinoa salad for those grupper kickers amongst us).

I've heard a few say they'd take Comical Eddie in a heartbeat others with slightly longer memories (myself included) are a bit dubious about letting the wee man put all our ducks in a row. Still others would form unlikely triumvirates with dodgy characters and re-commission decommissioned ordinance in order to stop thon wee shmuck from getting a foot in the door.

Sir Graham Henry as DOR
Sir Bradley Wiggins to show FOLK how to get on his bike
Sir Mo Farrah to teach the CEO a sprint finish when that ugly word responsibility comes into view.
Sir Anthony Hopkins to teach our pack how to look like they'd ate ye & look fierce. Fufufufufufufufu.

I may as well tell you, I had a supernatural experience last night.

If the Connacht job is anything to go by, EOS's CV wouldn't even get read.

Dave .... If you EVER give Clive Woodward as an answer again to a question other than... "Warren Gatland, Clive Woodward and Guscott .... One gun - one bullet."?

I will make it my mission to grupper kick you within an inch of your life.

Bryn to take up Logie's Job.
Jonno to remain as HC. No need for a DoR or Ops Director with two rugby men at the top.

Bring in a defence coach from somewhere beyond Lisburn, and McLaughlin in to support Jonno with the pack/skills.

Top of my list would be Wayne Smith to make him an offer he couldnt refuse to tempt him out of retirement.
My wildcard would be Pat Howard offering him a route back into rugby from cricket management.
Both great innovators.
Another option would be to give Lancaster a shot after his major role in transforming Leinster.
All else fails just give the gig to Gibbes.
Nothing to lose regardless.

I think the vital thing is that whoever comes in demands they get overall control and the final say in all matters.
They bring their own team to work with and break the power monopoly of UR.
And pigs may fly as we will continue to get the also rans.
