The ultimate Fan
Hi all,
I'm researching a documentary at the moment about northern irish sports fans, and I'm looking for those that go above and beyond the call of duty to follow their team. If they have tattoos, children named after players, arranged their honeymoon around an away game... that kind of level of dedication.
I haven't found a rugby fan yet, and it would be a shame to do a programme in Northern Ireland without one.
Can anyone help? Anyone spring to mind?

I'd agree with you, and would much prefer that type of person. It's just a starting point, and not at all a prerequisite.
Tell me more about the scooter boys?

Does having your ringpiece dedicated to Dylan Hartley count?Once a Knight wrote: You'll find many decent stories without stooping to have someone's "left leg piece" dedicated to Ruan Pienaar.

There's a boy with a colour schemed mini (??) With reg ULS7R or something. Few guys with tats frequent the URSC bakebook pages. One fella his has Muriels on his wall and an Ulster themed fish tank iirc. The boys I know have only cirrhosis and French medical bills to demonstrate their commitment
Edit: with thanks to Grumpy.

I nearly had my ringpiece assaulted by Dylan Hartley.big mervyn wrote:Does having your ringpiece dedicated to Dylan Hartley count?Once a Knight wrote: You'll find many decent stories without stooping to have someone's "left leg piece" dedicated to Ruan Pienaar.
How's that for dedication (nearly) taking one for the cause before an important match ....

The way you boys drink, I'd be surprised if you didn't have cirrhosis to go with thatBR wrote:There's a boy with a colour schemed mini (??) With reg ULS7R or something. That's because sclerosis is also correct ...... just the wrong condition for this occasion.BR wrote:I knew it was wrong, but spell check liked it.
Come to think of it, does anyone know where Mr Leftpeg can contact Sir Hosis?

There's a few feckin eejits around these parts who have traveled to away games when they have been much too ill. Also Ruthie tends to let very little get in her way if getting to a few away games a year. But perhaps a thought should be spared for the English based exiles who travel to Llanelli, Swansea AND Newport every year.

Is having a tattoo representative of being a fan?

In all honesty I moved to England following the Sorries defeat in order to secretly investigate their free ticket giveaways and ridicule them at every opportunity
