Did anyone else just see the yellow card for the Crusaders winger for tackling Le Roux in the air? He got of very lightly there surely?

Fonotia looked at Le Roux and should have dipped his shoulder sideways to avoid the contact (minimal). Guilty as charged.
The fact that Fonotia lead with his shoulder made it look even worse.
Obviously if you're not in a position to equi-challenge for the ball in the air best to wait and hussle for the ball when receiver has landed back down.
What made the collusion spectacular was the forward 'high jump' twist in the air that Le Roux employed.
If Fonotia had moved sideways, Le Roux would likely have fallen off his feet into a pile on the ground anyway.
Le Roux contributed something to the collusion with an unorthodox daring jump.
In real time it looked reckless but he did catch the ball in the process.

Would have been a straight red in Bloemfontein >EW

Fotonia's collision with Le Roux was worse than Payne's episode. Crusaders 14 had his eyes on the man from yards out. Straight red if you're north of the line but yellow south? Le Roux didn't make a meal of it to be fair. Refs need to sort it before the WC.

Nehe Milner-Skudder. Another young NZ outside back destined for great things.
This Canes backline is frighteningly good..

Two of the best disallowed tries so far this season were 'scored' this past week..
The Smith > Naholo > Coltman > Smith > Sopoaga > Osborne touch down set the tone for the Highlanders.
Greg Inglis 90 m solo in Origin game 2 last Wednesday. Pulsating game at the MCG.

He was electric tonight. Haven't seen quick feat like his in a while and the Savea brothers were outstanding. Hats off to Nonu though - playing like a 24 year old - what a beast.
Climb up onto the top of your house and start screaming: 'stand up for the Ulstermen, stand.......'

Rod Kafer is full of mad dog. He was lucky not to get a red for that assault.

Talking about real quick footwork, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will be returning to NZ next year to play for the Auckland Warriors @ Mt Smart.

Finally getting to play in a Championship contending team has done wonders for Nonu's interest in Super Rugby :stir:

Skudder has looked fantastic from what I've seen and deserves his call up to the AB's.

The ABs have an embarrassment of riches in the back 3. Downright unfair one could say. Just think of the quality of players they will have to leave out.

That's because they don't know what a back 3 player is ...

.... most Kiwi FB's are really centres but only a decent team like Ireland would recognise that.
I'm not arguing -
I'm just explaining why I'm right

We will get to read his interesting back story if he can squeeze into the 31 man AB squad I'm sure.
That would start with being fit for & turning in another strong performance in the Super Final.

From the disappointment of a RL career curtailed in Australia, coming back to NZ & reprogramming to Union from scratch, dealing with injury and eventually getting onto the senior panel of the Canes this year >appl

The staggering competition for AB squad slots & his lack of big game experience are against him. Has he played at centre this year?
Very similar player to Cory Jane. Upright runner and stepper, great awareness, nerveless...
